David Cranmer is originally from upstate New York. After taking courses in criminal justice, he served in the Army as an MP. He followed that up with a stint at The Department of Justice in Washington, DC before moving into the private sector providing risk management services to various organizations throughout the world. His career path has taken him to places like Haiti, Cameroon, Belize and the Canary Islands.

Under the pen name of Edward A. Grainger, David's short story, "Cash Laramie and the Masked Devil," will be published in Express Westerns follow-up anthology to Where Legends Ride. And his award winning "Blubber" can be found in issue #5 of Out Of The Gutter.

He regularly updates his blog The Education of a Pulp Writer and is editor/publisher of BEAT to a PULP.

David currently resides with his wife, Denise, wherever work takes him.
